  • Our Mission

    •  Veterans for Life Foundation’s primary mission is to provide personalized support programs aimed at finding unique solutions for veterans and their families. We hope to raise public awareness of the many challenges veterans face each day with a goal toward finding community support. One of our most important goals is to act as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of military veterans and to let them know their sacrifices are appreciated.

Our foundation strives to assist service members by providing tools and strategies that are instrumental in reintegrating successfully into civilian life. We offer solutions tailored to individual needs with a goal of improving the lives of the individuals within the veteran community who have selflessly served their country with honor and pride.

  • Statistics

There are more than 85,000 disabled veterans in Atlanta who are surviving on a low income. Many of these deserving people need urgent healthcare as well as help to carry on living independently at home. However, thousands of veterans in Atlanta are forced to cope without the support they desperately need for months, sometimes even years, while their claims for VA Benefits are processed.

The situation in Atlanta is part of a wider problem experienced by ex-servicemen all over the US. Generations Life believe our veterans deserve so much better. We believe anyone who has put their life on the line to serve our country deserves access to the medical treatment and care they need when they need it and not a moment later.

JOIN US! Let’s spread the word.

THIS IS THE NUMBER OF VETERANS IN THE UNITED STATES WHO NEED URGENT HEALTH SERVICES AND IN-HOME HELP.

THESE BRAVE CITIZENS DESERVE THE VERY BEST BUT INSTEAD THEY ARE LEFT WAITING AN AVERAGE OF
245 DAYS FOR EACH CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED.

    About us

Veterans Life Foundation was founded in 2012 to address the urgent priorities experienced by veterans returning home and looking to successfully transition to a new lifestyle. Our goal is to recognize and meet the social, vocational, and psychological needs of every service member. The organization, which is based in Alpharetta, GA, was created through a local network of collaborating veterans and generous individuals who are passionate about this cause.

Our founders recognized that thousands of deserving veterans and their families were failing to receive the resources needed to help guide them on their civilian journeys. Today, we serve the veterans, families, and caregivers of each branch of service. We work diligently with each individual service member to create a strategic plan for transitioning back into community life easily and successfully, while offering the reassurance that hope is still there and a streamlined path exists.

    Our summary

Veterans Life Foundation was created to empower the individuals, who proudly put their lives on the line to protect our nation, to reconnect with the world in an uplifting and rewarding manner. We wish to offer our veterans an easy path back to experiencing a fulfilling life as a civilian. Here at our foundation, we believe our service members have earned the right to a sense of security and to live the American Dream.

When our veterans return home, they deserve to be treated like heroes. However, the reality is typically very different. All too often, our veterans end up falling through the gaps and finding themselves without the support of their local community. We believe they deserve  the necessary support to transition from the reality of war to a life with family, friends, employment, hobbies, and the realization of lifelong goals.

Veterans Life Foundation was founded by a consortium of devoted altruists and veterans who want to influence positive changes. In 2012, our foundation received a $25,000 grant from a Donor-Advised Fund of the Metropolitan Atlanta Community Foundation. This grant provided some of the seed funding we needed to expand our services, allowing us to help thousands of local veterans. We intend to continue helping our nation’s veterans receive the services and support they need to overcome the existing obstacles in their lives.

    Our objectives

Veterans Life Foundation provides a progressive model retreat for veterans to empower them to live independently in their community when they return home. We assist them in finding a positive and productive path for their civilian journey. Our Veterans Life Board Members include dedicated veterans and benefactors who perform as mentors, advisors, speakers, and donors.

This cyclical model cultivates a collaborative effort and embraces the value and support brought to the foundation by its veteran and civilian members. Our progressive model facilitates a unique platform of members who have already experienced the benefits of the retreat and who now wish to join the mission and serve their fellow veterans.

    Our ongoing objectives include:

    • The development of a consortium of 15 strategic partnerships with local veteran-services providers in Metro Atlanta.

    • The birth of a strong tradition of continuous cyclical stakeholder evaluation, financial integrity, strategic planning, and integrated fundraising and communications

    • The creation of a strong and resilient leadership structure formed by recruiting a diversified board of directors and a professional executive director experienced in governance.

    • The ability to deliver optimal coordination of private insurance, public benefits and charitable service.

    • A fundraising campaign leading to $150-200,000 in funding for our capacity-building campaign

    • The ability to provide for those who deserve it most.

Providing for those who deserve it most

Our men and women in uniform willingly risk everything so Americans can enjoy the freedom and comforts we so often take for granted. At Veterans Life Foundation, we dedicate ourselves to giving back what we can and to represent their best interests at all times. We offer veterans and their families the care, support, and comfort needed when they return to civilian life.

Our efforts include offering assistance with emotional support, providing guidance on career development, accessing resources, and finding ways to connect with other vets. Our team works hard to provide servicemen and women with the knowledge needed to navigate the resources available to them.

At Veterans for Life Foundation, we are dedicated to picking up the slack and filling in the gaps that exist when our veterans return home to transition to civilian life. We are proud to show our commitment to our men and women in uniform.

Veterans for Life Foundation exists to help veterans get the care and help needed after their military service is complete. We offer all our services to veterans at no cost. Our efforts are fully funded by donations from the generous people living in Metro Atlanta as well as by other gifts and grants. Every veteran has the right to an easy transition to civilian life.
